Lake Dumbleyung Race Day Memo

Memo to Members:

Hilary has been in contact with Nicole Taylor from the Shire of Dumbleyung regarding camping.
Regrettably there is strictly no camping at the Lake due to past issues with others along with the fact that it is over grown and not suitably prepared for safe camping.

They are offering Stubs Park which is at the sports oval. There are ablution facilities available and a kitchen.
They have indicated an approximate fee of around $100-00 to $150-00 for use of the whole facility. This is to be confirmed.
Perhaps anyone wishing to camp at Stubs Park and use the facilities could chip in a small amount towards this fee.

The Shire is very much in favour of a Race Boat Display / Show and Shine in the town centre from about 3pm on Friday 9th June.
We urge members to please try and present your boats to promote the event and to meet the local community.

A map of the lake and venue will follow in due course.
For further information please see Dumbleyung Shire website.

Lake Dumbleyung Race Day Update

WASBC Members:

Good News.

Today we received the official confirmation to hold an event on Lake Dumbleyung on the weekend 10th and 11th June 2017.

We hope and trust that we will get the full support from all members and drivers.

Our secretary Hilary Motzouris has put a great deal of effort into applying for this event, so it is now up to the club to get on with it and lets close the season off with a great event.

We will be sending out information over the next few weeks in regards accommodation, camping, arrangements for the event and other things.

As this is a race away from home we are requesting hands up to help in any way whatsoever.

Anyone that would like to step forward to help, be it towing a rescue boat, carting some club gear, sponsoring towards the event, putting up some trophies or whatever you can think of, please email Hilary on and offer your help at NO COST TO THE CLUB.

Let’s get together and show them what we can do. WASBC and APBA WA.

WA State Titles Thank you

Thank you to all the spectators, volunteers, crew and drivers that come down and braved the conditions yesterday for our State Championships. It was touch and go whether we would race and we went through with it. Conditions varied but all the drivers had fun and drove perfectly.

A special mention the Beasley family that flew over from NSW to support their daughter Victoria compete.

Results will be posted soon.
