March Race Round-Up

Thanks for the all that came down and volunteered their time, helped, spectated and raced on Sunday, there was near perfect conditions for the whole day and we hope this continues for the next couple of meets.

Ben Smith won the inaugural Kell Knudsen memorial trophy for the 25hp with Lennart Knudsen 2nd and Mitch Clark 3rd. It was great to see 4x 25hp boats racing and hopefully there will be more soon.

It was also great to see Jayden Smith back on the water in the 15hp, making it 3 junior boats. The club still has spare 15hp junior boats if you are interested in racing, so please contact us.

Only 2 tunnels made it down, with the Motzo racing guys concentrating on their new business, made it hard to prepare their boats in time. It was good to see Mike Britten back after surgery and also Scott Johnson is still ironing out a few things with his boat.

The displacements had 2x 6l on the water, with Peter Price's boat looking great and Larry on his tail at every point. The LS1's are going strength to strength and some great close racing with Michael Kowald taking the points out for the day.

The latest results and points are up on the website from the weekend, click on the link. http://www.wasbc.com.au/races/results
